I needed a root canal treatment, and after hearing so many 'horror' stories from people in the past I was terrified. But having had a tooth out in the past as I was too scared to save it with a root canal treatment from all the stories I had heard and read, I would not hesitate to have another root canal should I need it. It is nothing like what you hear about. To start, I didn't feel the injection as a special gel was used to numb my gum before hand, and the whole process thereafter was calm, and pretty relaxing! It took about an hour for the treatment, which sounds like a long time to be in the dentist chair, but it went very quick, and the dentist kept me informed on everything she was doing, and checked often throughout to see if I was ok. It was also great to see an xray image of my root canalled tooth at the end of the treatment, and even better to know that I had saved my tooth from needing to be taken out unnecessarily. My advice to anyone that had been put off by friends or has read anything bad about a root canal treatment should re consider as the treatment I received was excellent, and I now have no pain, and still have my tooth in full working condition! I'm new to Brighton, and therefore used Google to find a quality private dentist, and Helen is certainly that. Both her team, and Helen are friendly, kind and skilled, the treatment I received was perfect and I would recommend her to anyone needing a dentist in the Brighton area
