Abbots Lodge Dental Practice - Rod Peek

About Rod Peek
Born and educated in North London prior to 5 year dental degree course at London University.
Initial career in hospital oral surgery prior to moving to Shoreham-by-Sea, Sussex as an associate in general dental practice. From the early 1970s had three main areas of activity, general practice dentistry, hospital oral surgery and offshore yacht racing. The latter activity took me all over the world having represented Great Britain in several Admirals Cup campaigns, Southern Cross Cup in Australia, Kenwood Cup in Hawaii and Sardinia Cup. I retired from serious competitive sailing at the end of the 1990 season but still enjoy cruising with friends.
As Abbots Lodge became busier I reduced my hospital sessions in which latterly my principal interest was oral rehabilitation of patients following cancer surgery, using implants. I finally gave up my hospital post in 2011.
I now live in Littlehampton. Many interests outside work include Art, Music, Theatre, Food & Wine and Travel. I love skiing, still sail occasionally and play poor golf intermittently. I have 2 grown up sons, one is a quality manager for an optical company in Sussex the other a paediatric cardiac surgeon in Leicestershire.
