About Rod Ferguson

Rod studied dentistry at Bristol dental school graduating with honours in 1985. He then spent three years in hospital posts in maxillofacial surgery during which time he completed his surgical training and become a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England. Rod completed the three-year post-graduate training in orthodontics at Guy's Hospital, London and was awarded a MSc. in orthodontics and the Membership in Orthodontics of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh allowing him to be registered as a specialist orthodontist with the General Dental Council.  Rod is a director of Total Orthodontics Ltd. He regularly lectures to various groups on both clinical and management aspects of orthodontic practice. Rod is a member of the British and European Orthodontic Societies and has held hospital appointments at the Eastman Dental Hospital and East Surrey hospital. Rod is a past chairman of the Brighton section of the British Dental Association and is a member of the West Sussex Local Dental Committee. He has a particular interest in adult orthodontics in combination with complex restorative dentistry and is a member of the British Lingual Orthodontic Society. He is currently on the Editorial board of Private Dentistry. Rod treats patients at our practices in Haywards Heath, Brighton and Lewes. Rod is married to Millie and they have three lovely children. This means that Rod rarely has enough time to pursue his favourite pastimes of golf, tennis and skiing.
