About Richard Bateman

Dr R Bateman qualified in 1978 from Kings College Hospital in London and started practising at 'The Lindens', Orpington straight away. An early interest in orthodontics nurtured with many training courses over the years, culminated in admission to the GDC's Specialist Register in 2000. He is a member of the British Orthodontic Society and the European Orthodontic Society, regularly attending at their respective conferences and additionally to the American Orthodontic Conferences; this keeps him abreast of this fast moving speciality. Dr Bateman is Vice Chairman of the LDC, Chairman of the Croydon Local Orthodontic Committee as well as Secretary of the Bromley LOC which keeps him busy outside surgery hours. Additionally he is the Orthodontic Adviser to the Richmond and Twickenham Primary Care Trust. Dr Batemans hobbies include playing golf, tennis and motor racing.
