About Peter Boyd

Originally from Northern Ireland, Dr Boyd qualified as a dentist from the University of Glasgow in 2002. Following qualification, Dr Boyd worked in both general practice and hospital placements in both Newcastle Upon Tyne and New Zealand. Dr Boyd entered specialist orthodontic training at Leeds Dental Institute and York District Hospital in 2007. He gained membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2010 and a Master of Dental Science degree from The University of Leeds in the same year. Dr Boyd has worked in specialist orthodontic practice in Yorkshire since 2010 and has an interest in all areas of orthodontics but has developed a special interest in adult orthodontics, particularly in the provision of clear and lingual braces. He keeps himself updated with regular attendance specialist training meetings and is a registered Invisalign Provider. Outside of work Dr Boyd’s young family keeps him busy. He enjoys several outdoor sports and is a keen cyclist.
