About Matt Perkins

Matt qualified in 2002 at Guy’s Hospital. He won two prizes as an undergraduate student and developed a special interest in periodontology during his studies. Straight after qualification Matt did further training in oral surgery in a major general hospital and then went to practice in Australia for a few years – including a spell as a ‘flying dentist’ delivering care to outlying regions. On his return to the UK Matt went back to Guys Hospital to do his advanced specialist training in his favourite subject. Matt is now a specialist registrar in periodontology at Guy’s Hospital and is at the forefront of the latest and most advanced standards in periodontology. This is the crucial foundation work for any dentistry and advanced aesthetic work cannot be achieved without an excellent periodontal condition.
