About Kalpana Soni
Kalpana qualified from St. Bartholomew and The Royal London School of Medicine and Dentistry in 2003. She later gained Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery (MFDS) in 2007. In 2012 she completed a Masters of Clinical Dentistry in Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics at UCL Eastman Dental Institute. In addition, she was awarded a prosthodontics speciality by the Royal College of Surgeons and is on the General Dental Council specialist's register. Prosthodontics is the study of all advanced dental restorations from Implants to complex crown & bridges. So, Kalpana's specialist areas of interest are: aesthetic dentistry, rebuilding broken and worn dentition to a more aesthetic and functional outcome as well as complex crown, bridge and denture cases. Her depth of knowledge allows her to chat in detail with her patients about choices with their dental care. Her experiences in different dental settings from private practice, hospital and community dental service has provided a wealth of experience to provide treatment in a caring, kind and professional manner. In addition to working in Shoreham-by- Sea, Kalpana teaches prosthodontics at Kings Dental Hospital. This keeps her abreast of the latest dental research and in touch with academic colleagues. Kalpana is also a member of the British Society of Prosthodontics (BSPD) and the International Team of Implantology (ITI). When Kalpana is not working she enjoys travelling with her husband especially to Southeast Asia, cooking and is learning to speak Portuguese.
