About Flora Zahra
Flora is a General and Restorative Dentist. She trained at University College London and subsequently gained further qualifications from:- Birkbeck College London, the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners, the Royal College of Surgeons England and most recently King’s College London. Flora carries out all aspects of General and Restorative Dentistry and has a Special Interest in Periodontology. Her Postgraduate training enables her to diagnose, treatment plan and take on complex cases and she is very experienced in the use of adhesive and ceramic restorative materials to improve function and smile aesthetics. Wherever possible she employs a minimum intervention, minimally invasive approach for predictable high quality results. Her additional skills in Periodontics mean that she also enjoys treating Periodontally diseased patients. For Flora, Dentistry is all about the patient journey.
Flora also works as a Clinical Teacher in Periodontology and Conservative Dentistry within the Restorative Department at Guy’s Hospital, King’s College London. She very much enjoys her teaching role working within the UK’s top Dental Institute and feels privileged to share her knowledge with the high calibre Dental students. In the field of Clinical Education her interests lie in the development and maintenance of Expertise, Narrative Medicine and the application of the Medical Humanities to improve patient care. Flora is also committed to post-graduate education for Dentists and sits on the Education Board of the FGDP (UK).
