Dr. Clara McSwiney is highly trained an all aspects of general dentistry with an interest in treating nervous and anxious patients and root canal treatments. She is dedicated to providing anxiety-free dentistry to her patients in order to help them achieve their dental goals with ease. Dr. McSwiney completed her undergraduate studies in Cork, Ireland and holds a Certificate in Restorative Dentistry from the prestigious Eastman Dental Institute, London. She actively enhances her education and training by attending continuing education courses and seminars.

	100%	Just over a month ago I had quite extensive work done on my teeth, the work Ms McSwiney carried out was professional and in my opinion second to none. I would have no fear in recommending Ms McSwiney to any of my friends and Jade Dental practice.

	52%	I recently took my 21 year old son to Jade. He is fresh out of university with no income whatsoever. He was complaining of mild toothache in one tooth. He hadn't been to the dentist whilst away at Uni but up until that moment went to the dentist every 6 months and had not needed a single filling. He went in on his own. I was told by the receptionist that the bill would be £36.00. He came out 30 mins later. He had been told that he needed 6 fillings and a root canal filling (treatment costing over £850.00). That initial consultation cost me £210.00, as he had given the go-ahead to start the work, although he claims at no point was he told that this would cost his parents £210. I did not get a chance to speak to the dentist myself so later phoned her and was told that this work was absolutely essential. I subsequently managed to take him to an NHS dentist who following a much more thorough examination (more x-rays, longer time) decided he only needed 2 fillings and the root canal filling (costing £47.00). Another dentist has also confirmed the need for only 2 fillings and as he is experiencing no pain whatsoever I have no reason to doubt them. I found Jade friendly but I would never use them again or recommend them to a friend. Unfortunately it is too easy for dentists to convince you that unnecessary treatment is needed and so make a lot more money out of you.
