About Chris Harris

Chris Harris joins the practice in November 2012, bringing with him 25 years of dental experience. Chris qualified with a BDS degree from Sheffield University in 1987 and began his career working in London with children and special needs adult patients, including the very frail and elderly. In 1996 he obtained his Royal College of Surgeons Masters Degree in Community Dentistry. The same year, a desire for adventure took him to Queensland, Australia, where he worked in general practice for 5 years. His work there included hospital postings, outreach work in mobile dental vans as well as gaining the experience of working in sunnier climes. From 2002 until this year Chris has worked at the Northamptonshire practice he attended as a child! Chris is committed to providing high quality gentle dentistry for all the family. His greatest reward is seeing the positive transformation of patients’ attitudes towards dentistry and their own dental care. Chris is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons Faculty of Community Dentistry. Chris is married with two young sons who keep him fit and active. His interests outside dentistry include composing and producing music. He is looking forward to re-acquainting himself with the Poole area as his family sailed out of Parkstone Yacht Club for many happy years whilst he was growing up. “Working with Briony and the staff is inspiring everyday, The patients are really friendly and have been so welcoming.”
