About Chaido Akrivopoulou

Dr Chaido Akrivopoulou graduated from the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt, Germany in 2005. After gaining valuable experience in general dentistry and oral surgery in private practice in Frankfurt, Chaido moved to the UK. In 2007 she was selected for the specialist training in Periodontology at the world-renowned Eastman Dental Institute (University College London), which she has successfully completed. This is one of the very few programmes in Europe and the only one in the UK, which are recognized from the European Federation of Periodontology (EFP). In 2009 Chaido was appointed as a part time Honorary Clinical Assistant in Periodontology at the Eastman Dental Hospital. She is also actively involved in research, both in the field of clinical oral microbiology and in implant dentistry. Chaido is about to complete her Doctorate thesis on the survival and success of fixed partial dentures on Ankylos® implants. Chaido has extensive experience with the treatment of advanced gum disease with expertise on both conventional and regenerative periodontal surgery, as well as periodontal plastic surgery and complex implant therapy. The treatment modalities our periodontist is applying are based on the latest available scientific evidence and are aiming at achieving long-term periodontal health and addressing the patient's functional and aesthetic demands.
