About Mike Torkington

He qualified in dentistry from Leeds University Dental School in 1988. He then moved back to Manchester and set up a successful, award winning general practice which he ran for 10 years. Mike has been at the current practice for 2 years. Outside of work, he leads a very interesting life. Having completed the restoration of his period house over the past 5 years, Mike pursues many interests. He enjoys reading and music and is a classical pianist and jazz saxophonist. He also enjoys an active lifestyle and is a competitive dinghy sailor and keen runner; currently training for the Great North Run (half marathon) in September 2012 and the London marathon in April 2013..
