We offer NHS orthodontic treatment to patients aged under 18 if they are eligible. NHS treatment is available as per Government Guidelines and so is only available to patients with a moderate to severe orthodontic problem. The changes made by the Government in 2006 in the NHS have brought about longer waiting times for NHS orthodontic treatment.
The appliances we use depend on the situation: growth modifying and removable appliances are often used for children as are metal fixed appliances (train-tracks!) with coloured elastics which can quite a fashion statement!
